The art of letting go

We are human beings and have emotional base on which our life relies. We get hurt, we feel happy and express every emotion that comes our way. But have you yet experienced one thing that you find it difficult to let go the things which hurt you? Many of us must have experienced it. What do we gain when we hold on things which hurt us? We hurt ourselves more by doing so.
Sometimes to get pure happiness, we need to let go the things which hurt us. What are those things that we need to let go?
  • ·        The hurt that people give us.
    ·        Grudges that we hold.
    ·        Negativity that others spread in our life.
    ·        The hatred we have for someone.
    ·        The greed of wanting more than we deserve.

    ·      The things which don’t contribute in our growth.

There are many things that we need to let go. But the point is how can we do so? What are the ways to achieve this state of letting go?
Acceptance is the key: When someone hurts you, you keep thinking about it and forget to let go. It creates grudge about that person in your mind and it affects your innovative thinking. Just try to accept the fact about people around you that everyone cannot be the same. It doesn’t solve all the problems but your acceptance lets you live in peace.
It’s a game of our memory: Stronger memory worsens the pain. Sometimes we need to forget things in order to be happy. We need to keep in mind only those things which are positive and it would have positive impact on our mind. When we keep in mind every possible thing, it is going to hurt us more.
Empathize with people:  People can make mistakes. You are also one of them. Sometimes they also feel bad about the wrong things they did. They also feel guilty that they hurt you. You try to step into their shoes and try to feel their mind.
It is not for them. It is for your well being. When you let go the things then you feel free. You don’t feel the negativity around you. For your well being, decide to let go! It is the art of being happy!

Punishment can never be the solution!

In many situations, parents feel that they should punish their child to make them realize the value of things and people in life. But we often fail to notice the fact that when we punish our child physically, he or she starts going away from us. He or she starts feeling that whatever he or she does it ends up in punishment and that too the physical punishment. What is the use when they feel alone when you punish them physically? When you punish them physically, it leaves them thinking that you are a bad parent.
Then you would think that, how can one inculcate good habits in kids? The answer is here. You can behave the way you want your child to be. You can set good examples before them. You can use your words strongly. You can make them realize that, ‘when my mother says no that means no.’ But for this, you need to inculcate the feeling of being secured and cared in your child. Child should never feel that if something is being told then, it could be for keeping them away from the things they want to do.
You could recite stories of Shravan baal, Krishna, Rama with the moral, and make them realize the fact that whatever they are being told is for their welfare. Kids are like mud. It is in your hands to develop them. It’s your responsibility as a parent to inculcate good habits in them. If you succeed in doing this, you would be a successful parent. For this, you don’t need to take help of any physical punishment. Your words and moderate actions are enough! It helps to develop better individuals for tomorrow.

Happiness needs no reason

Happiness is the purest feeling and it is what I feel. Being happy is what turns this world into full of happiness and optimism. We all must have heard that, there is always a reason behind everything. But I genuinely believe that happiness needs no reason. Being happy is a state of mind, which never asks for any reason at all. You may think that how it can be possible? But it is really true. When you feel happy due to a particular reason, you may feel sad when that reason’s validity will expire. It is the fact that happiness with reason, comes with an expiry date. When you try to analyze small things about your life, you’d realize that there is so much to life to feel happy about.
Happiness is nothing but the blessing to embrace. Why am I addressing it as a blessing? Because, happiness increases when distributed or shared. And the thing which never decreases in amount or quantity rather it increases in quality even if it is shared, then it should be a purest form of blessing. Knowledge, love, friendship, understanding, care are some of the examples of blessings. When we embrace these, we actually are happy throughout life.
Never think of the reason to be happy. When you feel happy without any reason, that happiness is pure and long lasting. This kind of happiness takes you closer to the God and divinity. And feeling the essence of divinity through spreading happiness is what the true meaning of life is all about. Where this happiness can be found? It can be found in eternal things. You need to look inside and you would realize the real meaning of happiness. Everything is within us. We need to pay attention and embrace what we have.
